nice large watch

My other Seiko kinetic is a 12-year old model (vintage by now i guess) one of the first kinetic watches sold. It is still working fine after a replaced kinetic capacitor.

I was looking for another Seiko Kinetic and this watch caught my eye. It is certainly very unique in style. It is large and you may even say bulky. But it feels surprisingly comfortable on my wrist and even though it feels heavy - i got used to wearing it pretty quickly. The Black IP bezel has a very unique look especially with the 4 hex head screws around it but dont be fooled - the hex screws are total decoys - simply metal buttons with hex slots glued into the round holes in the bezel. :) I like watches with enough contrast in color between the face and the hands - this watch has a black face and the hands are white with luminous green inlets. Seiko has quite a few models currently where there is not enough contrast between the face and the hands and I find them hard to use if you need to tell time in lower lighting conditions such as dusk in a dark parking garage etc.

I love the GMT function of this watch - have not seen it on any others. When you pull the crown all the way out to stop the clock to adjust the time the GMT hand can be set to the correct UTC time. Then in half-pull position when the watch is still running you can move the hour hand to adjust the local time hour as well as set the date. So if you go from the East coast to California like i do quite a bit all i need to do is set the hour hand 3 hours back - and i can do that without stopping the watch and messing up the precise time.More detail ...

Quality Product

I bought this watch several months ago and have been pleased with it since. It is quality as opposed to those watches you pay less for. One would naturally expect that but in this day and age paying more does not always equal more quality but in this case it definitely does. The watch is heavy and the strap is long enough for most any size wrist (no skimping on strap length) and rugged. In fact this watch is probably made to wear underwater outside the wet/dry suit but it looks great above water in everyday life! classic style perfect!

I was looking for a classic style watch like a cartier but without the price tag. I also wanted quality and not some cheep cartier replica so this seiko is perfect! Some people who reviewed this watch have suggested that it is too small but I think it is perfect- this size makes it a classic. If it were bigger it would look like a men's watch which I know a lot of women are buying since they prefer that look but if your taste is more along the lines of a classic Cartier tank watch and you want to spend a lot less this is perfect.More detail ...

Stylish Quality at a Reasonable Price

This is an extremely attractive and high quality timepiece. The photos do not do it justice. It is thinner than most watches at this price point and has some higher end features like a sapphire crystal face and seamless clasp. You can't tell from the pictures but the depth between the crystal face and the watch face itself is very shallow which makes it look like a much more expensive watch. The one thing I would note is that this watch does not have any nightime viewing capability. No luminescent markers. I bought this as a dress watch so that feature was not important to me. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.

Great watch great price!

I have owned several Seiko's Omegas Casios Timex's and Tissots. This is definitely one of the best watches I've ever had. It's a tough heavy and attractive watch. The only drawback is that it runs a bit fast which is typical of automatics so it's really a non-issue. I highly recommend it. My only regret is that I didn't get one 20 years ago. Oh my God this is a cool watch. If you want a steel sunflower on your wrist if you want to be both funky and elegant if you want to be hip and down to earth all at once you certainly want this watch. Beautiful watch!

I thought this watch looked good in the online photos but when you open the box it is absolutely beautiful! I have had a gold tone men's Seiko watch with a black face for at least fifteen years but the process of having to replace batteries every year had resulted in some loss of integrity to the case seal and I decided it was time to replace it. This one appealed to me because of the kinetic feature as well as appearance and also presently available at a very good price (I paid $216). The clear case back allows you to see the pendulum that spins to recharge the kinetic power cell and that looks pretty cool! Both the case and band are coated with a TiCN material that looks like polished black ceramic absolutely stunning in contrast with the gold bezel. beauty and function

This is the first watch I've ever owned that caused people to spontaneously compliment my taste in timepieces. It's *very* good looking and the photos you'll find do not do it justice. It's not exactly black but when you look at it face-on it's nearly black in most settings. From the side though it's a rich dark gray. The contrasting gloss and matte titanium finishes are very pleasing. The crystal is gorgeous and though the many features may make it seem a bit busy at first you will find it clear and user-friendly. Controls are very smooth and responsive. It is comfortable and despite being largely steel under the titanium shell it is not a heavy watch. The fact that it's a great bargain should not go unnoticed either. The vendor left their retail price sticker on the package when they shipped it and I can only say I was very satisfied when I compared this to what I paid. This is an excellent watch. Durable and functional enough to wear in nearly any setting and also attractive enough to inspire spontaneous "Wow that's a great watch!" comments from people. Highly recommended. Beautiful Watch!

The pictures do not do this watch justice. This watch is very beautiful in person. The dark mother of pearl dial looks great and the two-tone has a perfect balance. I purchased this watch at Kohl's and they price matched to the Amazon price (costs originally $375). I loved it so much I didn't want to order it and wait to get it in the mail. Stylish sporty and elegant

I own this watch my first seiko.



This watch has a combination of classic(classy leather strap) and sporty design(Sexy black dial). Looks good with dresses and casuals alike.



I got this watch after looking for this combination for a lot of time. I m happy that I got this one much cheaper than I expected to pay for a watch like this.



Somehow it looks much better on my wrist than my friends who is fairer.

It's a really nice one.

Rather than an alarm it has an additional dial to extended the stopwatch range to 100 minutes. The tachymeter markings on the bezel are deeply engraved so they won't scratch off. The crystal is sapphire to prevent scratching. The band has a mix of brushed and polished segments that is nicely done. The buckle is hidden when the band is closed; it looks like continuous links all the way around. It looks and feels like a very high quality item. Great product...would recommend to anyone

I am currently deployed to Iraq and the watch I came with stopped working so I thought I'd order a new watch. I wanted something that didn't require a battery wouldn't stop working and that was reliable. Having owned a Seiko kintetic in the past it was natural for me to look at their selection.



I settled on this one because I don't need the bling. I like the black finish and red dial. I recieved this watch very quickly (I'm in Iraq) and began wearing immediately. I have had no issues with it and love it. This watch is not bulky like I expected it to be very low profile on your wrist and wears comfortably. I wear this watch on combat missions during PT in the gym everywhere. I only take it off when I sleep.



I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for good quality and a nice masculine watch. More detail ...

Great Watch! Great Price! Great Service!

First of all I am not a diver so I don't know if this watch functions well for diving needs.



I do alot of public speaking so I wanted to purchase a watch with a movable bezel to time myself when I speak not to go over my time spot. It's great for that. The bezel is large and easy to see when I glance at it and is very attractive.



The watch is quite large and makes a bold statement. It has a ruberish looking band that looks very sturdy and the watch seems to be very well made. And what about the price? $145 for a $475 Seiko watch you can't go wrong.



It also has adjustments so you can tweek the stop watch to be very acurate.



The only small con: The face is slightly busy looking so at first it's a little confusing when you glance at it for a quick time read but I've gotten used to it.



All and all a great watch. Very satisfied!More detail ...
